What is Tiny Desk AI?
Tiny Desk AI turns portraits into a small-room concert video: a desk, close-up performers, instruments and a lived-in room. See yourself or your friends perform without filming a session or playing an instrument.
AIRapMake casts one lead singer and an optional friend on sax. The 12-second arrangement moves through a lead opening, band view, vocal close-up, sax moment and full-band finish. Keyboard and bass players are fictional. Music and vocals are generated for this new performance.
How to make your desk concert video
Start in the creator above. The concert setup is fixed, with no stage menu or music prompt. Your existing AIRapMake account and credits work here. Check the roles before generating: the first portrait is always the lead, and the second is always the sax player.
- Add one clear portrait to Lead singer. This photo is required.
- Add a consenting adult friend to Sax player, or leave it empty for a fictional AI sax player.
- Sign in and check your credits. One desk concert uses 10 credits; the Single pack costs $9.90.
- Select Make my desk concert. Follow the progress, then download the finished 720p MP4 from My videos.
Your lead singer and your sax player
The lead sings original English lines and appears in the close-up. The sax player holds the instrument and gets a separate instrumental moment, rather than trading sung lines with the lead. You and a friend can use separate portraits taken in different places; no musical equipment is needed.
With only the lead portrait, the rest of the band is fictional. Add, replace or remove the optional second portrait before generating. Use one person per portrait. This creator does not offer shared-photo mode or five separate band-member uploads.
Original music, vocals and a room of your own
A relaxed soul-funk groove combines electric piano, bass, light drums and a featured saxophone fill. Original English lines are supplied, so there is no lyric-writing step. The lead gives the sax player space during the instrumental section. Sound is included in the MP4, rather than a separate song file.
The original rehearsal room has a wooden desk, shelves, plants and warm light. This five-shot plan is a twelve-second condensed concert, rather than the full nineteen-second viral edit. AI-generated cuts, expressions, hands, instruments and lip sync can vary. Review the complete video with sound before sharing.
Photos that give both roles a clear reference
Use a sharp, evenly lit, front-facing portrait, from head to shoulders or waist. Keep the face and outfit clear. Avoid sunglasses, masks, extreme angles and heavy filters. Each slot needs one adult; the sax portrait does not need an instrument.
JPG, PNG and WebP photos up to 10 MB each are accepted. Use yourself or other consenting adults. Photos of minors, celebrities and public figures are not allowed. The sample beside this creator was made on AIRapMake from two fictional adult portraits. Your room, gestures and accompanying musicians can vary.
Download your desk concert and share the moment
The result is a 12-second, 720p, vertical 9:16 MP4 with sound. Download it to your device before posting it to TikTok, Reels, Shorts or a group chat. The account keeps finished videos for 30 days from task creation. You can close the page while a submitted task renders and return to My videos to check its progress.
This version makes a new performance with original music. It does not insert faces into the viral Outstanding recording, reproduce a particular artist or reuse an existing concert clip. The lead, band, close-up, sax and finale are generated scenes. Label shared clips as AI-generated and choose a caption that explains who is performing. AIRapMake is independent and is not affiliated with NPR or Tiny Desk Concerts.
